About me
I am a playwright, librettist and youth arts facilitator working across opera, theatre and film. My approach to writing for performance is rooted in collaboration and I enjoy working closely with composers, directors and performers during the scriptwriting process. I love unearthing and reimagining old stories, and bringing them to new audiences.
I studied Drama at the University of Exeter where I co-founded Greasy Girls - a new writing theatre company that has been creating work since 2022.
I am passionate about making work with and for young people. From 2023 - 2025, I worked with ThirdSpace Theatre (a Brighton-based youth theatre company) where I created scripts in collaboration with young performers and writers - as Lead Writer for ‘BAKKHAI’ (Brighton Festival, 2023) and as a writer for ‘Let it Be a Tale’ (Brighton Dome, 2024).
In 2023, I founded and was Lead Facilitator for a theatre writing group that worked with teenagers to develop new writing in a collaborative setting. I also have experience working with young theatre makers and performers with various access needs both one-to-one and in production settings - providing administrative assistance, practical support, and creative mentorship.
I completed my MA in Opera Making & Writing at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I worked in collaboration with composer Sam Meredith to create ‘Gef!’ - a new chamber opera which was first performed in Milton Court Theatre in June 2025.
I wrote the text for ‘I can feel time’ - a song cycle by composer Mary Offer which was first performed in London in 2026, and received its world premiere at Carnegie Hall in New York.
I also love dogs which look like sea captains. I don’t like milky tea. Or cat hair. (I’m allergic)
